ISO 9001 Certified Systems VersaFlex Incorporated is pleased to announce that Jamie House has led ISO certification and headed the Kansas City production quality control team to successful completion of our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Jamie will now turn his attention to our Houston PolyVers International facility.With his leadership it is fully expected that Houston should ease into its certification in the shortest possible time. With both our primary plants certified in the United States, VersaFlex and PolyVers will be better able to serve our customers.

VersaFlex Polyurea training is an ongoing event

VersaFlex is committed to training contractors, specifiers, and owners in the polyurea technology. We offer state of the art information that will satisfy the owner and specifier that the installer has the capability to bring the great utility of polyurea into practice.

Courses are taught by the experts in the polyurea industry. The informational classwork sessions include handouts containing slide presentations of PowerPoint shows dealing with every aspect of polyurea technology; from the chemistry to the practical application techniques best suited to spray and pumped polyurea systems.

VersaFlex Incorporated has contracted with Dudley Primeaux to develop Levels 1-7.

Level 1 Fundamentals of Polyurea. The course will provide an overview of polyurea both from the standpoint of its chemistry and application technology, as well as it’s potential uses. The course is designed as a prerequisite lead-in to our in-depth Level 2: Spray Applicator Training. (1 Day)
Chemistry for Non Chemists- basic chemistry of polyurea for applicators, engineers, purchasing agents. Discussion of the key terminology used in polyurea, reading MSDS and product bulletins. To be offered the evening of Level 1 and 3 on a no charge basis to those who wish to stay. (2 hrs)

Level 2 Basic Spray Applicator Training. General introduction of polyurea technologies, spray equipment options, surface prep, field testing, and case studies. Hands on spray demonstrations. Personnel safety. For those entering polyurea spray business or new employees. The course gives a more in-depth overview of polyurea issues on a variety of topics ranging from equipment to troubleshooting, repair to maintenance, substrate preparation to priming, and many others. As such, applicants must have completed the Level 1. (3 Days)

NOTE: Level 1 and 2 would be equivalent to the PDA Spray Applicator Class.

Level 3 In Class review of Specialty polyurea systems, Aromatic products, Aliphatic products, Specialty products (flame retardant, high abrasion, high slip, high chemical resistant. Aspartic products, Low temperature spray products, Caulk and sealants (1 day)

Level 4 Specifications, site certifications, site prep. How to write proper specifications, how to read and work from prepared specifications. Can you do this project profitably in time and meet the specs. Working around other trades, and scheduling conflicting activities at the site. On site training requirements, acceptable presentation of the site, and turn over when completed. (3 days)

Level 5 Surface prep. How to properly prepare concrete, steel surfaces for application of polyurea. Failure analysis, basics of concrete and steel, surface preparations, application conditions. Equipment and industry standards. (1 day)

Level 6 Advanced Spray applications. Optimize your knowledge of the proportioner, focus on repair and maintenance of the spray equipment. Hose heat trouble shooting. Hands on repair and breakdown of proportioner and spray guns. ( 3 days)

Level 7 Field optimization. Project evaluations, site set up, cost reductions. Log reports and troubleshooting. Actual project will be presented, and all components of the project from proper specifications, product selection, surface prep, and application ending in turnover of the project to owner, and getting paid. ( 2 days)

Classes are held in convenient locations in the United States, Europe and Asia.
